Let's face it animals are wonderful! Whether you have a dog, cat, ferret, bird, fish or reptile, animals are a great source of delight. They have so many health benefits like, increasing endorphins, a source of companionship, or just getting you outside. But sometimes they can get smelly which isn't so pleasant. But don't fret we have a few tips to keep your house smelling fresh and clean all year round. A special thank you to quickanddirtytips.com for providing some of these tips.

Step 1. Furniture deodorizing spray
  • 1 Tablespoon baking soda
  • 2-3 drops essential oil – Use a scent you like.
  • water
  • Spray bottle
Simply add baking soda and essential oil mix together in bottle. Then fill bottle about 4/5 full of water. Shake well and its ready to use!

Step 2. Carpet Cleaner
  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1 Tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 container with holes on top
Mix these two ingredients well. Add to a container with holes on top like a clean parmesan cheese dispenser. Sprinkle on your carpets and let stand for 30 – 60 minutes. Then vacuum as usual. Your carpets will smell clean and fresh and your family will think you just baked ;)

Step 3. Airborne bacteria killer
  • ½ cup baking soda
  • 4 drops essential oil
  • Medium salt shaker or jar
Place the baking soda in the jar and add a few drops of essential oil. Keep a few around the house, like in the bathroom, near a litter box, on a shelf in the living room, in the kitchen etc. I bet you know what is coming next!

Step 4. Candle Warmer

Once you have throughly cleaned and rid of the stinky bacteria now it the perfect time to use your Candle Warmer to bring in your favorite fragrance. Adding a few around the house makes a world of difference. And you can use any candle or wax fragrance you want to add your personal touch.
