How to Stay Warm and Cozy After the Holidays

Winter can be a hard time for many people, since the days are shorter and the excitement and buzz of the holidays has come to an end. However, that doesn’t mean that you can’t stay warm and cozy through the rest of the cold season.

There are plenty of ways to keep your home feeling snug and comforting even after taking down the decorations. Try some of our tips to take care of your mental and physical wellbeing during the rest of winter.

Keep the Scent of the Season

Winter is a season, not a holiday, so don’t feel like you have to put away all of your seasonal scents. You can enjoy the aroma of pine trees, warm cookies, cinnamon, and seasonal berries long after the holidays. Enjoy your candles, simmer pots, and create a calming atmosphere for yourself.

To amplify the cozy vibes, try a candle warmer for a flameless, long-lasting scent. You can wrap yourself in a blanket on the couch without worrying about blowing out a candle flame. If you’re not a candle person, diffusing essential oils such as cinnamon and peppermint can also provide your home with comforting, purifying air.

Make Your Home a Cozy Retreat

The weather may still be frightful, and the fire can still be delightful. To maximize comfort during the winter blues, add plush blankets and soft pillows to your space. Dim the lights and create a warm glow perfect for reading, relaxing, and spending time with loved ones.

Take it a step further and leave up any wintery accents and decorations that may extend beyond the holidays.

Pinecones, wood accents, faux fur, snow flakes, and decorative berries are great decor options, just to name a few. Get creative with your decor, and focus on creating a warm, welcoming environment for yourself.

Celebrate for No Reason

Who said that you need an excuse to have a dinner party? To combat loneliness and seasonal depression, keep the holiday cheer going by hosting friends and family for winter-themed get-togethers.

You don’t even have to plan anything grand, even something as simple as sipping tea with some loved ones can be comforting. Try cooking comfort foods such as soups or bake warm bread and pastries to fill your home with joy.

Melt Away the Winter Blues

The holidays may come and go, but you can keep your home feeling cozy and bright even after taking down the decorations. With the right touches, your space can feel like a warm, welcoming escape until springtime returns.  We hope that you can take extra good care of yourself in the winter months to come, and find happiness in the little moments.

5 Different Home Decor Styles for Setting a Thanksgiving Table

Thanksgiving is a time for family, gratitude, and, of course, delicious food. But it’s also an opportunity to showcase your creativity and make your dining table a feast for the eyes as well. Whether you’re a seasoned host or it’s your first time hosting Thanksgiving dinner, here are five different ways to set a Thanksgiving table that will impress your guests and create lasting memories.

  1. Rustic Elegance:

For a warm and inviting Thanksgiving table setting, embrace rustic elegance. Start with a simple, neutral tablecloth that allows your natural wooden table to shine through. Add woven placemats for a touch of texture and layer them with classic white dinner plates and rustic, earth-toned stoneware for a balanced look.

To complete the rustic vibe, use vintage mason jars as glasses and fill them with wildflowers or simple greenery. A few wooden candleholders with tapered candles and a burlap table runner will tie the whole look together. This setup is perfect for those who appreciate the charm of a farmhouse-inspired Thanksgiving.

  1. Boho Chic:

If you’re a fan of eclectic, colorful decor, a Boho Chic Thanksgiving table setting is just the thing. Begin with a bright, patterned tablecloth or a simple white one adorned with colorful, embroidered table runners. Mix and match your dinnerware with vibrant, mismatched plates and cups for a carefree and creative feel.

Don’t be afraid to include an assortment of succulents and small potted plants in colorful pots as centerpieces. Boho chic is all about embracing individuality and creating a cozy, relaxed atmosphere.

  1. Modern Minimalism:

For those who appreciate clean lines and simplicity, a modern minimalistic Thanksgiving table setting is the way to go. Start with a crisp, white tablecloth and layer it with black, gray, or navy blue plates and sleek, contemporary silverware. Use minimalist glassware for an elegant touch.

Rather than elaborate centerpieces, opt for single, statement pieces such as a tall, slender vase with a single branch of eucalyptus or a few minimalist candleholders with white candles. The key to modern minimalism is restraint and the belief that less is more.

  1. Harvest Bounty:

Embrace the essence of the season by setting a Thanksgiving table that highlights the bountiful beauty of fall. Begin with a deep, earthy tablecloth, and layer it with woven chargers and warm-toned, ceramic dinnerware. Incorporate natural elements like pinecones, gourds, and colorful leaves as part of your centerpiece.

Add a touch of glam with gold or copper cutlery and glassware. A bouquet of seasonal flowers and a scattering of candles in autumnal hues will complete this rustic yet opulent setting, reminiscent of the harvest season.

  1. Classic Elegance:

For a timeless and sophisticated Thanksgiving table setting, opt for classic elegance. Begin with a crisp, white tablecloth and layer it with fine china and crystal glassware. Choose elegant, monochromatic color schemes such as gold, silver, or rich jewel tones for your tableware.

Dress up each place setting with a beautifully folded cloth napkin and a personalized place card. Finish with a stunning floral centerpiece, featuring roses or lilies, and a few silver candelabras with white taper candles. This setting exudes an air of refinement and is perfect for those who appreciate tradition and timeless beauty.

Don’t Forget the Fragrance:

While the visual aesthetics of your Thanksgiving table are crucial, never underestimate the power of scent in creating a welcoming ambiance for your guests. Enhance the overall experience by infusing your home with delightful fragrances using Candle Warmers Etc. Wax Warmers or Candle Lamps and Lanterns in every room. The warm, inviting scents of pumpkin spice, apple cinnamon, or vanilla will fill the air and set the mood for a cozy, memorable Thanksgiving celebration. Not only will your home look stunning, but it will also envelop your loved ones in a delightful sensory experience that they’ll associate with your warm hospitality for years to come. So, as you focus on the visual elements of your Thanksgiving table, remember to appeal to your guests’ sense of smell to create an even more inviting and festive atmosphere.

Setting a Thanksgiving table is an opportunity to express your style and creativity while creating a welcoming atmosphere for your guests. Whether you prefer rustic elegance, boho chic, modern minimalism, harvest bounty, or classic elegance, there are countless ways to make your Thanksgiving table a visual delight that complements the delicious feast. Embrace the spirit of the season and let your table be a reflection of your personality and the warmth of the occasion.

Experience the Benefits of Candle Warming Lamps and Lanterns as seen on TikTok: A Safer and More Cost-Effective Alternative to Traditional Candles

Candles have long been used to add ambiance, warmth, and fragrance to our homes. However, traditional candles come with their own set of problems such as the risk of fire, smoke, and soot. That’s why candle-warming lamps and lanterns have exploded in popularity on social media, especially TikTok. Candle Warmers Etc. offers an innovative solution to these problems with their candle-warming lamps and lanterns.

Have you seen candle warmer lamps on TikTok lately? Let us tell you why they are the hottest-selling product on TikTok.

  1. Safety: The biggest advantage of using a candle warmer lamp or lantern is safety. Traditional candles pose a fire risk, especially if they are left unattended or placed near flammable objects. With a candle warmer, you eliminate the need for an open flame, reducing the risk of fire.
  2. Smoke and soot-free: Traditional candles can produce smoke and soot, which can stain your walls and furniture over time. Candle warmer lamps and lanterns do not produce any smoke or soot, making them a cleaner and safer option for your home.
  3. Longer-lasting fragrance: When you burn a candle, the fragrance tends to fade as the wax melts and the wax evaporates. With a candle warmer, you can enjoy the fragrance of your favorite candle for much longer. The heat from the lamp or lantern warms the wax, releasing the fragrance without burning it.
  4. Cost-effective: Candles can be expensive, and if you burn them regularly, you may find yourself spending a lot of money on them. Candles that are warmed in a candle warmer last about 3 times longer than when they are burned. A candle warmer is a one-time investment that can save you money in the long run. You can reuse the same candle multiple times, making it a cost-effective option.
  5. Versatile: Candle warmer lamps and lanterns come in a variety of designs, styles, and sizes, making them a versatile option for any home décor. You can choose from a range of colors, materials, and finishes to match your home’s aesthetic.

Using a candle warmer lamp or lantern from Candle Warmers Etc. is a safer, cleaner, longer-lasting, cost-effective, and versatile option compared to traditional candles. You can enjoy the warm glow and fragrance of your favorite candles without the risk of fire or smoke. Consider investing in a candle warmer today to enhance your home décor and enjoy the benefits of candlelight without the risks.

5 Cottagecore Home Decorating Ideas

A cottage core home has the feeling of a rustic cottage in the countryside. It’s a simple way of decorating using simple and clean pieces. It is reminiscent of the past and creates a cozy atmosphere. It has a strong focus on softness and comfort. Today we are sharing with you 5 ideas on how you can incorporate this style in your own home, with items you might already have.

Now close your eyes and imagine yourself in a cozy cottage nestled in a fairy forest and listening to the babbling of a nearby brook.

1. Choose your flooring wisely.

Starting from the bottom up and updating your floor using materials that give the floors a weathered look is the first step. You can find many options that are cost-effective and still give the worn and textured look that you are going for. Go for a rustic wood with lots of texture or a tile that looks worn and scuffed.

2. Lean toward furniture pieces that are natural

When it comes to furniture for your cottage core home, go for items that are natural wood, soft colors, and vintage. Using natural-looking fabrics with plaid or floral prints for throw pillows will create that cozy cottage feeling. Use several prints and textures together to add a touch of whimsy.

3. Cottagecore accents

When it comes to accents for your cottagecore home, look for thrifted, second hand pieces. Using nature scented candles with a candle warmer helps to bring the outside, in. Try to use fragrances like pine, floral, or fruity to give the feeling of fresh, clean spring air.

Bring in a variety of houseplants to help bring nature inside. Climbing vines and trees are a great way to add an organic feel to your space. Hang dried herbs and flowers to help with the organic vibe.

4. Color palette for cottagecore

When it comes to paint choices for cottagecore, choose a soft, neutral palette for the walls. Stick with warm wood tones or creamy shades of white or gray. You can always add pops of color by painting furniture with earth tones.

5. Don’t forget the outdoors

Carrying the concept of cottagecore to your outdoor space helps to create a seamless transition from the outdoors. Use your outdoor spaces to create a refuge for wildlife with birdhouses, hummingbird feeders, and a birdbath. Use beautiful shrubs and trees along with wildflowers that grow naturally in your area to create a native-looking home.

It’s easy to create a comfortable, vintage, and cozy cottage getaway right in your own home thanks to the cottagecore decorating style!

6 DIY Home Decorating Tips

We have 6 great tips from professional home stagers to help you freshen your home decor without ruining your budget.

1. Start at the front door.

We want our homes to make great first impressions, so it’s important to start at the front door. Use paint to make your front door stand out and feel like it’s inviting us in. Historically, a red door meant “welcome to weary travelers”. What does your front door say about your home?

2. Anchor rugs under furniture feet.

To create a comfortable sitting area it’s always best to place the front feet of all couches and chairs on the area rug. Make sure your rug fits the size of the room. A big room requires a big area rug.

3. Style decorative objects in odd numbers.

Using the “rule of thirds” in home decorating makes things more visually appealing to the human eye. Three seems to be the magic number for interior design, but the rule also applies nicely for groupings of five or seven. Our fragrance warmers, like this Gather Illumination, are the perfect addition to help balance a room out.

4. Add a mirror to every room.

Mirrors seem to make a room brighter because they bounce the light from the windows around the room. They also help to make a room look larger by reflecting the opposite side of the room. Place mirrors on walls that are perpendicular to a window so they don’t bounce the light right back out the window.

5. Use tricks to raise the ceiling.

Painting short walls white helps to make a room feel less claustrophobic. Place your curtain rods close to the ceiling to draw the eye upward. Using verticle stripes and placing a tall mirror against a wall can also help a room seem taller.

6. Make your furniture “speak” to each other.

Arrange your furniture in groupings to invite conversation. Face the couches and chairs towards each other and pull the furniture away from the walls. “Floating” furniture actually makes the room look larger.

8 Easy Updates for Yellow and Gray Home Décor

“Pantone has announced Ultimate Gray and Illuminating as their Colors of the Year for 2021!”

1. We’ve all spent more time at home the past year, and many people are working from home offices. Small updates to accent pieces in this space can help you to feel more motivated and productive.

2. Throw Pillows are an easy way to bring color into a room. You can find these at discount stores at a great price. Changing out throw pillows is one of the easiest ways to change the mood of a room.

3. Updating your bathroom is a breeze when you start with neutral colors and update with fresh towels or a colorful shower curtain.

4. Another space where switching out linens is a quick, easy update is in the bedroom, where bedding becomes a style statement all on its own.

5. A rug may be considered an accessory, but it can become a focal point of any room with a beautiful pattern. A rug should be the anchor of the room and should set the color scheme.

6. Beautifully designed pieces like this Slate 2-in-1 Classic Fragrance Warmer add the finishing touches for your new color scheme. This warmer features a simple geometric pattern in sophisticated slate gray.

The Best Fragrances for Selling Your Home

“Any good real estate agent will tell you that one of the main things buyers are looking for when viewing a home is the way the home smells.”

Scent Sells

You can go for something overtly delicious, like fresh baked cookies, but this could be distracting to buyers. A more subtle fragrance that still sends a clear message will be more appealing to buyers, and help you to seal the deal.

Floral

Fragrances that include jasmine or peony can be calming and grounding for many people.

Citrus

Boost moods and leave a positive first impression with an energizing citrus fragrance.

Cinnamon

The comforting scent of cinnamon can make visitors feel instantly at home.

Evergreen

Impart a sense of wellbeing with the familiar, fresh fragrance of pine and other evergreens.

Vanilla

Stress and anxiety take a back seat in the presence of the traditional fragrance of vanilla.

5 Tips On How To Keep Your House Smelling Good All The Time

Smell is arguably our most powerful sense. Good and bad smells help tell us about our environment. If we are getting ready to eat some leftovers, we smell them first to see if they are bad or not. When it comes to our homes, whether it smells good or bad gives us signals as to how clean or dirty it is. We have 5 tips for you on how to keep your house smelling good all the time.

Here’s our tips:

1. Keep it clean

  • If you have a litter box be sure to keep it clean all the time.
  • Replace open garbage cans with garbage cans that have lids.
  • Clean out the fridge and get rid of rotting food then scrub it clean at least every other week.
  • Clean your soft surfaces. Upholstery, pillows, bedding, carpets, and curtains can hold on to smells for a long time.
  • Pull out appliances and clean under them and inside of them. There could be rotting food under there.

2. Open your windows

Opening your windows is the fastest way to bring in fresh air. It’s a great way to clean out lingering cooking smells or home improvement smells. If it’s possible, open a windows on the opposite sides of the house so you can get a good cross breeze through the house.

3. Use odor eliminators

Our Odor Eliminating Wax Collection neutralizes odors and fills your home with the finest home fragrance. High-quality fragrance oils, soy blend wax, and our proprietary odor-eliminating component are combined in clean, fresh fragrances like Island Paradise, Sun-Dried Linen, Tropical Citrus, and more. Our wax melts are poured in the U.S.A. 4. Use essential oils

Making homemade refreshing sprays with essential oils is a natural way you can deodorize your home. Use this spray on your upholstery and clothing to help eliminate odors. Here is our favorite refreshing spray recipe:

  • 1/2 cup of white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup of rubbing alcohol
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 20 drops of your favorite essential oil

Mix together in a spray bottle and shake before each use.

5. Choose the right scent

It’s a misconception that in order to make your house smell good, the smell needs to overwhelm the room. That’s not true. You want your home to encourage energy or relaxation. You want your home to be inviting to everyone who is visiting so it’s a good idea to stay away from overpowering scents. Scents like woods, citrus, or florals are great scents to help please everyone.
