Considering the rash of winter-like temperatures enveloping most of the nation these days, it may be best just to announce, ‘spring is near’. As we all patiently wait to break out the sandals and swimsuits (maybe that fourth slice of pizza wasn’t the best idea), we are in full spring-cleaning mode here! Our Candle of the Month, Jamie Clair's Fresh Linen, will help beat your spring fever with its fresh and clean fragrance and subtle notes of powder and musk!
Although in this day in age, who has the time to dedicate multiple weeks or precious weekends *gasp* to turning the house upside down and inside out? Just thinking about everything that needs to get done can doom the task from the very start. However, all is not lost! We recommend creating a weekly cleaning schedule by splitting up all your tasks into a more manageable sequence. Plus, the simple task of checking things off a list gives us all a sense of accomplishment.
Below are some areas we often forget about but highly recommend:
Refrigerator/Pantry - Clean out your refrigerator, freezer and pantry for any expired foods. Any extra perishable food can be donated to local food banks. Giving back is spring-cleaning for your soul.
Car - Measure oil, wiper fluids. Check tire pressure, wiper blades, lights. Clean trunk, backseat and various compartments (coin, glove compartment, center console, cup holders, etc.).
Purse - Reassess what really belongs there. Or decide you may need a new purse altogether. See, spring-cleaning can be fun!
After tailoring your spring-cleaning to your needs here are some tips that outline basic techniques that help you clean almost every surface (or object) in any room.
But don’t go out and buy a million different cleaning supplies, there are many cleaners that do double duty, like vinegar.
So what are you waiting for? Start checking off your spring-cleaning To Do list with Jamie Clair's Fresh Linen scent!
